Nahum (Letter 34, Larry Crabb’s 66 Love Letters)
Strange that God didn’t like it when Jonah wanted Nineveh destroyed, yet turns around and announces His plan to destroy it.
This letter is God’s call for us to celebrate now what He will do later.
His plan is to remove the weeds of hassles and the thorns of suffering, and to let us live forever with no self-serving energy in a world better than Eden.
We may still struggle with churches that value affirmation more than brokenness because they fail to see the Ninevah (that evel passion to make life work for them at any cost to others) that remains in all of us.
